Sith Light Saber Sound

Everyone knows that the construction of a Sith's lightsaber and a Jedi Knight's differs significantly. The Sith were the first to create the crystals needed for the plasma blade's chamber and to wield it. The Sith have continued to create their crystals due to their adherence to tradition, frequently resulting in their being far more unstable than the Jedi's more skilled blades. As the blade's energy crackles, the dull hum becomes more ominous and electrifying.

The Sith's lightsabers made a deep, dark sound when they hummed and swung. This was because the crystals inside them were unstable and intense, creating the perfect dark soundfont. A Sith's red lightsaber, with a clawed emitter, made a scary sound during fights, like sparking wires or a power line.

Fans of the UltraForceSabers Renegade, Raven, Malice, and Menace will use the darkest sound fonts available to outfit their lightsabers. We've compiled a list of our favorites for you.

Jedi Lightsaber Sound

The early Jedi Knight sabers had belt-mounted power supplies, which made their blades much more steady. However, these sabers had several drawbacks, including a limited and rapidly depleting power source and a tie to the power pack. The Jedi would eventually abandon the outdated "battery" technology and adopt the Sith-advanced Superconductor technology.

The Jedi eventually built their lightsabers from natural crystals mined from Illum after the Empire seized control of the bulk of crystal mines. Compared to Sith blades, the natural crystals produced a more steady blade but were frequently less potent.

As they idled, a steady, honorable, unchanging buzz hummed from a Jedi Knight's swords. Before blades collided in combat, no electrical cracks or lightsaber clashing noises existed. The steady swing emphasized the struggle and gave it a dialogue-like quality. A Jedi's blade would ignite with a smooth, sharp electric sound, signaling the beginning of combat.

Fans who use certain lightsaber models can customize their sound profiles. Here are some of the most popular ones available. The NovaStar Package includes Yoda, the Old Republic Jedi Soundfont, and the classic Obsidian Soundfont. These soundfonts come with every Obsidian Soundboard we send.
