DID QUINLAN VOS SURVIVE ORDER 66?

In the end, Quinlan Vos would show to be far more than just an observer. A Jedi Master, he was still serving during the Great Jedi Purge and played a significant role in the Clone Wars. Chancellor Palpatine's Order 66 made the clone army attack the Jedi, almost destroying them.

A considerable number of Jedi survived the Purge, but the majority perished. Quinlan Vos, was he one of the Jedi that made it out alive?

For a long while, the answer remained a mystery. However, it is known that the Galactic Empire believed he had safely escaped after Order 66. Even the fabled Luke Skywalker thought Vos had survived the Purge.

Were they right? For additional insights into the life of Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, continue reading.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF QUINLAN VOS

Quinlan Vos, originally from the planet Kiffu, joined the Jedi Order at a young age and was trained under Jedi Master Tholme. From the beginning, Vos was rebellious, breaking rules and drinking. However, he remained loyal to the Jedi way despite his behavior.

Vos had a natural talent, especially in retrocognition, which is also known as psychometry, Sense Echo, or Force Echo. By using this special Force power, you can learn about a place or a person just by touching an object linked to them. Vos's retrocognition skills made him a highly valuable tracker for the Jedi Order as a law enforcement officer.

Star Wars QUINLAN VOS DURING THE CLONE WARS

Vos had an important role in the Clone Wars. He tried to catch Ziro the Hutt with Obi-Wan Kenobi, but they were not successful.

Vos's subsequent mission turned out to be even more important: a covert mission designed by the Jedi Council to kill Count Dooku. To accomplish this, Vos partnered with bounty hunter Asajj Ventress. Over several months while they pursued Dooku, Vos developed feelings for Ventress.

Nevertheless, a major obstacle stood in their mission: Dooku managed to abduct Vos and turn the Jedi Master against the Force. Vos, now known as Admiral Enigma, briefly joined Dooku as an apprentice and turned against the Jedi Order. Asajj Ventress risked a lot to save Vos from the dark side. Kenobi asked for him to return to the Jedi Order, and he was allowed back.

WHAT HAPPENED TO QUINLAN VOS AFTER ORDER 66

When the lethal Order 66 was implemented, Vos participated in the Battle of Kashyyyk as a Jedi General. This led Clone Commander Faie to betray the Jedi immediately, and he tried to find Vos and Yoda with the assistance of his warriors. However, Vos is first able to murder the treacherous Faie.

Vos quickly understood that he was still in danger since Palpatine and his allies wanted to exterminate every Jedi in the galaxy. Thus, together with his partner Khaleen Hentz, the Jedi Master fled to uncharted territory.

There was conflicting information after Order 66's turbulent events regarding Vos's survival of the Purge. The Galactic Empire believed Vos was alive and tasked the Inquisitorius with finding the elusive Jedi Master.

Vos was alive; the Empire was right, albeit it took a while to figure out exactly where he was.

Obi-Wan Kenobi, who survived Order 66, went to a safe place called the Hidden Path on Mapuzo. This place was part of a secret network of hiding spots. Here, a clue about his future was revealed. This underground network was established to offer refuge and assumed identities to Jedi and other Force-sensitive people escaping the fury of the Galactic Empire.

Quinlan Vos was among the Jedi whose identities Kenobi discovered in the Mapuzo safehouse were among those who were covert members of the Hidden Path. It is unclear when Vos joined the Path, but his dedication to the cause and skill in avoiding the Great Jedi Purge are unquestioned.
