Dave Filoni Promoted to Cheif Creative Officer of Lucasfilms

Dave Filoni was promoted to Chief Creative Officer at Lucasfilm on November 22. He has significantly influenced the modern Star Wars franchise. As a result, he has received a lot of appreciation.

In 2008, Foloni began working with Lucasfilms as the director of the television series and the film Clone Wars. After that, he became Star Wars Rebels' executive producer.

Prior to giving Justin Ridge the reins for the first two seasons, he also served as the show's supervising director.

Foloni stepped down as director to oversee all current and future projects at Lucasfilm Animation. He returned to direct season 4. Jon Favreau asked Filoni to help create The Mandalorian in 2019.

Foloni's work was then incorporated into the Mandoverse. He is now working on Ahsoka and Boba Fett's book. In addition, he is directing the upcoming Mandoverse movie.

Foloni was secretly promoted to executive producer and creative director at the studio in 2020. The public was not informed on his promotion until May 2021, when Lucasfilms revised their executive roster.

Filoni was elevated to the position of Chief Creative Officer in November 2023. Filoni stated to Vanity Fair that he will now be involved "at the inception" of all franchise events. I was happy to hear that he will keep his jobs at Lucasfilms and continue directing the Mandoverse movie. I think the Mandoverse wouldn't be the same without his creative ideas.

When the Mandaverse comes to an end, it will be interesting to see where Foloni takes Star Wars. I have no doubt that it will be amazing wherever he takes it.
