Everything We Know about the New Jedi Order Film.
If you've been following Star Wars rumors, you probably know that Disney is making a movie called The New Jedi Order. This summarises all of the information we currently know about the film.
It is known that the film takes place fifteen years after Skywalker's ascent. Disney and Lucasfilm confirmed this when they announced the movie in early 2023. It will come after Rey tries to revive the Jedi Order.
Regarding Rey, we know Daisy Ridley will play the character again. Daisy Ridley will play Rey in the movie, as was confirmed during the Star Wars Celebration earlier this year. But no one has officially announced a release date, so we don't know when Daisy will return to the big screen.
It is also known that Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy would be directing the film. In addition to two Academy Awards, seven Emmy Awards, and a Knight International Journalism Award, Sharmeen is an Amazon director. She is highly accomplished and will bring the movie to life.
Steven Knight will pen the screenplay for the film. Knight is a well-known writer of Locke, Hummingbird, Dirty Pretty Things, and Peaky Blinders.
Due to the Writers Strike, he will finish his first script draft by the end of November instead of the original deadline in May. He has adjusted his timeline to account for the delay caused by the strike. The new deadline gives him more time to work on his script. He is determined to meet this new deadline and complete his script.
Filming on the picture can start in 2024 if there are no significant problems with the script, which Lucasfilm should have time to review and provide to Knight by Christmas. By this schedule, the film is anticipated to hit theatres in 2027. However, the longer AMPTP takes to satisfy SAG-AFTRA's requests will further delay this movie.
Although the movie's title hasn't been officially announced yet, fans haven't held back when they made assumptions. It is agreed upon that the film will be titled Star Wars: New Jedi Order or Star Wars: A New Beginning. However, neither Lucasfilm nor Disney has formally confirmed either of these titles, despite what you may have read.
Many hours have been devoted to fan speculation over the cast of this next movie. Although Rey is now the only confirmed character, fans still hope to see more of their favourite characters. Many fans think Rey will use their force connection to bring Ben Solo back. I want to watch this because I adore Ben, but I don't think we will see him in great detail.
There has been much conjecture on the plot in addition to the individuals. The only storyline detail we know is that the film will focus on Rey's efforts to revive the Jedi Order. Apart from that, there's not much information available, but enthusiasts will always conjecture.
Some people think there might be a new Jedi civil war. Others believe the Yuuzhan Vong, a race from Star Wars books, could be featured in a live-action show. This would be the first time they appear in this format. We can't be confident, though, as none of this has been verified.
That concludes our knowledge of the upcoming Star Wars movie.
