HOW DID OBI-WAN KENOBI SURVIVE ORDER 66?

One of the most recognizable characters in Star Wars mythology is still Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has become a symbol of the sage mentor in popular culture. However, the average Star Wars fan is unaware of how colorful and intricate his life and times were.

Obi-Wan was born on Stewjon and joined the Jedi Order as a child because he was very sensitive to the Force. Qui-Gon Jinn trained him in the ways of the Order as a Jedi Padawan.

Obi-Wan became a Jedi Knight because he was brave during the Naboo invasion. He especially showed his courage by defeating the Sith Lord Darth Maul in a lightsaber battle. He quickly took on the role of tutor to Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One.

Obi-Wan joined the Republic army and led Jedi generals during the Clone Wars. This placed him in command of a massive army of clone troopers, of whose existence he had first learned on behalf of the Jedi Order.

Obi-Wan won the Battle of Utapau. He bravely defeated General Grievous in a one-on-one fight. This led to the general's death at the hands of the Jedi Knight.

This was a lead-up to Order 66 and the Great Jedi Purge, two of the most turbulent moments in Obi-Wan Kenobi's life. Most Jedi in the galaxy perished due to Chancellor Palpatine's directive. Obi-Wan was one of the few Jedi to survive the onslaught.

Obi-Wan's escape from Palpatine's purge is an important story for Star Wars fans. It started a new chapter in the life of the legendary Jedi Master.

WHERE WAS OBI-WAN DURING ORDER 66?

It was while Obi-Wan remained on Utapau that Order 66 was issued. Palpatine's command quickly made all the clone troopers turn against the Jedi.

Palpatine ordered the clone troopers to turn against the Jedi. At the same time, a Jedi Knight was taking his lightsaber from Commander Cody.

He was riding Obi-Wan's Boga to the battlefield. Palpatine sent Cody a message that said, "The time has come." Put Order 66 into action.

The Sith Lord controlled the chip in each trooper, so the army couldn't resist the dangerous order. That immediately put Obi-Wan and every other Jedi in danger.

Cody abruptly ordered his soldiers to fire on Obi-Wan as he left the zone. The blast threw the Jedi Knight and his steed down a bottomless pit, falling a long way before splashing into the lake below.

How Did Obi Wan Die?

The rebel clone soldiers thought they had killed Obi-Wan in the fall, but they were wrong. After emerging from the pit alive, he deduced that the clone army had been usurped somehow and that the conflict had changed direction. He moved stealthily to the Soulless One, General Grievous' abandoned starfighter. Through seizing command of this vessel, Obi-Wan managed to depart Utapau securely.

WHAT HAPPENED TO OBI-WAN AFTER ORDER 66?

After leaving Utapau, Obi-Wan met with Jedi Master Yoda and Senator Bail Organa to decide what to do. Obi-Wan and Yoda decided to go to the Jedi Temple to stop the broadcast of the fake withdrawal message. The message was meant to trick any last Jedi into a terrible trap.

Obi-Wan replaced the fake retreat message at the Temple with an actual one alerting the Jedi to their danger. The next task involved finding the newly named Darth Vader, who had previously gone by Anakin Skywalker. He felt appalled when Obi-Wan discovered that his former apprentice had turned evil and now stood with Darth Sidious. There was no doubt about the necessity of stopping Anakin.

Vader was gravely maimed after Obi-Wan met him on Mustafar, and they engaged in a lightsaber combat. But for the great Jedi Master, it was a bittersweet win. There was no joy for him in hurting his one-time Padawan.

After being exiled to Tatooine, Obi-Wan took the name "Ben Kenobi" and lived alone as a hermit. Caution was required because there was still no safe place for any Jedi. He stayed here a lot, keeping an eye on Luke Skywalker. Although this period of Obi-Wan Kenobi's life continued for a long time, he was by no means permanently lost.
