Who is Mara Jade?

The Force-sensitive Mara Jade Skywalker has held various jobs in her life, including smuggler, Jedi Master on the Jedi High Council, and assassin for Emperor Palpatine.

She was an elite Force-using operative who was brought up to serve and murder for Palpatine. She did so with skill and icy accuracy. She received instruction from specialists in a variety of professions, including Luke Skywalker.

She was instructed to murder Luke following Palpatine's passing, but she deviated from the plan. One of the top smugglers and his second-in-command, she joined smuggling commander Talon Karrde.

As Grand Admiral Thrawn rose to power, she was forced to collaborate with Luke and came to appreciate him grudgingly. By employing both a blaster and hand-to-hand combat skills without the use of the Force, she demonstrated her abilities as a pilot, mechanic, and fighter.

Over time, Mara trained at Luke's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4 and kept up her employment with Karrde, occasionally interacting with him. To prepare her for her new position as leader of the Smugglers' Alliance, Karrde had her pretend to date Lando Calrissian for a short time. She and Luke became closer, and during a mission to Nirauan in 19 ABY, they came to understand their love for one another.

Following her marriage to Luke, Mara adopted the Skywalker surname and became a Jedi Master after committing herself to the New Jedi Order. She contracted coomb spore sickness just prior to the Yuuzhan Vong War, but she used the Force to lessen the symptoms of the illness.

She resisted the invaders and was healed following the birth of her son Ben on 26 ABY. She participated in the Yuuzhan Vong War, when she helped elect Cal Omas as the Chief of State of the newly established Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, and she mentored her niece, Jaina Solo. Supreme Overlord Shimrra Jamaane's death in the decisive battle on Coruscant was a result of her efforts.

Mara participated in the Swarm War and Dark Nest Crisis in the ensuing years, assisting in halting Raynar Thul's and the insectoid Killiks' expansion into Chiss space. Due to their use of combat skills against the Chiss, she demanded that the Jedi who had joined the Killiks be eliminated.

While fighting with the Galactic Alliance against the Confederation during the Second Galactic Civil War, she remained a Jedi Master. She encountered the fallen Jedi Alema Rar and the Sith Lady Lumiya, but they managed to get away several times. Ultimately, her nephew Jacen Solo, a Sith who posed a threat to her family, the Jedi Order, and the galaxy, killed Mara.

Mara Jade's Magenta Lightsaber

Emperor Palpatine handed Mara Jade a rare crystal to build the magenta lightsaber she carried when she was made an Emperor's Hand. Mara didn't usually have a lightsaber until she started working for Talon Karrde, but she utilized this magenta lightsaber in the Shelsha sector, on the planets Svivren, Chibias, and Kintoni, along with her blaster pistol, during the Galactic Civil War.

When Mara faced Lumiya on Caprioril following the Battle of Endor, she lost this lightsaber. As part of her Jedi training, Mara created a new purple-bladed lightsaber when she joined the New Jedi Order years later.

Cal Kestis

Who is Cal Kestis?

When the Galactic Empire was in power, Cal Kestis, a male human with the ability to utilize the Force, joined the Jedi Knights.

Cal spent several years hiding on the planet Bracca after the majority of the Jedi were slaughtered. However, his tranquil existence was upended when he encountered the Inquisitorius, which compelled him to rebel against the Empire. Since the Empire's Jedi hunters were after him, Cal decided to reestablish contact with the Force and work toward restoring the Jedi Order.

Cal Kestis fought with Jedi Master Jaro Tapal during the Clone Wars as a Padawan. When Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine ordered the Grand Army of the Republic to carry out Order 66, turning against their Jedi leaders, everything changed.

Cal's master, Tapal, sacrificed his life to keep him safe from the 13th Battalion's clone troopers. Cal went into hiding on the planet Bracca after losing his master. He worked for the Scrapper Guild until the Second Sister and Ninth Sister, the Empire's Inquisitors, discovered him.

After being rescued from the Inquisitors, Cal Kestis joined the crew of the starship Stinger Mantis. Cal became friends with the ship's captain, Greez Dritus, a Nightsister named Merrin, a droid named BD-1, and a former Jedi named Cere Junda.

After surviving a confrontation with the terrible Sith Lord Darth Vader, they set out to locate a Jedi holocron that belonged to Eno Cordova and contained crucial information for a new generation of Jedi. Cal decided to destroy the Holocron to protect the galaxy's Force-sensitive youngsters from the Sith. At this point, Cal's new tutor acknowledged him as a Jedi with full training.

By 9 BBY, Cal was collaborating against the Empire with Saw Gerrera and other rebels. After receiving an LW-896 blaster pistol from a mercenary named Bode Akuna, they set out to steal confidential Imperial secrets in Coruscant but were forced to crash land on Koboh to escape.

Kestis discovered a droid called ZN-A4 in an old Jedi chamber while on Koboh. He also learned about Tanalorr, a planet he intended to use as a haven for people under Empire pursuit. Kestis reassembled his former team and concentrated on figuring out how to go to Tanalorr for the Hidden Path network over the perilous Koboh Abyss.

It was at this period that Kestis and Merrin began dating. Following Akuna's betrayal of Jedha, which resulted in an Imperial raid on Junda's archive, Kestis pursued Akuna to Tanalorr and vanquished him using a lightsaber.

Cal Kestis's Magenta Lightsaber

Cal Kestis, a character in "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order," breaks his old lightsaber, which belonged to his former teacher Jaro Tapal, and then makes a new one on the planet Ilum.

Kestis uses two kyber crystals that mysteriously broke apart when he discovered them in the Crystal Cave on Ilum to power his new lightsaber, which he builds from pieces of Tapal's and Cere Junda's saber.

Sylvar

Who is Sylvar?

A female Jedi Knight from the planet Cathar, Sylvar was born. On Dantooine, she received Jedi training from Master Vodo-Siosk Baas. She was accompanied by her partner, Crado, and a Human named Exar Kun.

After Kun departed to join the Dark Lords of the Sith, Sylvar became embroiled in the Great Sith War, fighting alongside prominent characters such as Master Thon of Ambria and Nomi Sun-rider for both the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order.

She challenged Exar Kun for his atrocities throughout her time on Coruscant, Ambria, and Ossus. After her mate Crado betrayed them and was slaughtered by the Sith, and Kun killed her master, the conflict took a toll on her. The future Sylvar had longed for was destroyed along with everything else she valued when the Republic ultimately prevailed, and Exar Kun was vanquished.

As she grew older, Sylvar resolved to hold the final Sith leader, Ulic Qel-Droma, accountable for his atrocities. She struggled with her wartime resentment and attempted to use her missions to Ryloth and Cathar as an escape, but it didn't help.

When she did face Qel-Droma, he did not defend himself. As a result, she realized her error and turned back to the light side. The cause of Ulic Qel-Droma's death was crucial to her salvation.

Sylvar's Magenta Lightsaber

From an early age, Sylvar was proficient with a lightsaber. She wielded a yellow lightsaber both during the Sith War and during her Jedi training. She then switched to a pink lightsaber when the circumstances surrounding Ulic Qel-Droma's demise developed.

Sylvar was adept in fending off attacks. When she and Dace Diath battled to defend her Master and the Supreme Chancellor from formidable Basilisk war droids, she demonstrated this ability. She even knocked out Oss Wilum on Ambria by using the handle of her lightsaber as a club.

Sylvar's piercing claws were utilized to cause severe harm to her adversaries when her lightsaber was insufficient and occasionally even when it was. Crado and Exar Kun bore the scars she placed on them for the rest of their lives. While fighting with her lightsaber, on the other hand, her claws killed a lot of Massassi.

Tersu

Tersu is a human woman from the planet Zakuul. She is a member of the Scions of Zakuul, a branch of the Knights of Zakuul that is particularly interested in fate and concentrates on Force visions.

Tersu had dark eyes, reddish hair, and fair skin. Tersu was one of the few people who managed to escape when Emperor Arcann, who had just assumed the throne of the Eternal Empire, ordered the Scions to be killed.
