No Cameos In The Beginning For Star Wars: The Acolyte

In the most recent interview, Headland made it apparent that although Yoda is alive in "The Acolyte," which is set in the High Republic, the audience will never see him. Headland firmly said that while the show would link The High Republic and the Extended Universe, it would not discuss other movies or television series.

The High Republic era, primarily depicted in novels and comics, occurred around a century before Star Wars: Episode I—The Phantom Menace. 

By adding new characters to the ensemble, "The Acolyte" will rely as little as possible on the show's universe, making it appealing to both fans and those who have never seen it.

Headland intends to create an engaging series when a thorough understanding of Star Wars canon is not required.

The eight-episode series, which will premiere on Disney+, was produced at a cost of almost $180 million. It guarantees that the characters and storylines will be varied and that fresh facets of the franchise's lore will be shared.

Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-Jae, Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto, and Carrie-Anne Moss are among the performers who appear in it.

Additionally, there are references to several Star Wars motifs, including vibrant scenes at an alien restaurant with music and the well-known line, "May the force be with you," as well as acknowledgements of the Star Wars universe with Jedi.
