Princess Leia’s Star Wars Gold Bikini Sold for Whopping $175,000

Carrie Fisher wore the costume in the 1983 film Return of the Jedi.

Remember how Princess Leia received a gold bikini from Jabba the Hutt in Return of the Jedi? The well-known costume recently brought $175,000 at auction. It went up for sale in the United States on Friday through Heritage Auctions.

The seven-piece bikini set, designed by the late Richard Miller, consists of an armlet, bracelet, rings, plates, and a bikini brassiere.

Princess Leia wore a golden bikini when she was bound by Jabba the Hutt.

In addition to the well-known bikini, a small Star Wars aeroplane went up for auction and brought in $1.55 million. The aircraft is a Y-Wing Starfighter that was an essential part of a mission to bring down the Death Star in A New Hope.

Colin Cantwell, a US artist, created the small starfighter.
