An'ya Kuro

Canon: Not confirmed; included in the non-canon Legends of Star Wars

Bio: An'ya Kuro was a Master of the Jedi Order and a strange, Force-sensitive human. She gave up her name and adopted the appellation Dark Woman because she was so committed to the Force and the Jedi philosophy. She would eventually return to the Jedi Order to work as a spy during the Clone Wars despite having formally left the Order. After her last trainee failed, she would then go back into hiding once more.

Among the noteworthy accomplishments are:

  • Worked as a Jedi Order spy during the Clone Wars and was the master of Jon Antilles.
  • A'Sharad Hett, Aurra Sing, and Ki-Adi-Mundi (for a short time).
  • After her death, she became a Force ghost with perpetual consciousness.

A formidable Jedi, Kuro was known for her unconventional and harsher training methods. She was frequently given more challenging trainees to instruct in the ways of the Force by the Jedi High Council. Although Kuro's strict procedures have been known to fail, her process usually produced Jedi with a hint of evil.

Aurra Sing, Kuro's last disciple, was paired with her master after the Jedi High Council observed that Sing had exhibited violent behavior. Sing eventually turned against the Jedi and became a bounty hunter whose mission was to destroy the Order. In humiliation, Kuro ran away to Cophrigin V, where she spent 12 years alone and thought about her Jedi role. Kuro became a Force ghost after Darth Vader found her and killed her. During her last act, she assured Vader that he was strong enough to go back to the Light Side of the Force. Vader became enraged by this and attempted to destroy Kuro's Force ghost.

Fighting Style: Although An'ya Kuro used the Form IV: Ataru method in combat, her Force prowess was more well-known than her Duelling prowess. She could pass through objects, teleport, bend light around herself to make herself invisible, control plant matter, heal herself with the Force, and eventually turn into a Force ghost.

Fortunately, these attempts were thwarted, and after her time as a pilot, Jaina acquired Force skills that led to her training as a Jedi. Nom Anor, the Yuuzhan Vong's Executor, claimed Anakin's purple lightsaber after his death. Before Luke Skywalker retrieved the blade, it briefly went through the hands of Jacen Solo. Later, Han Solo received it to erect next to a monument honoring Chewbacca, who also perished in the Yuuzhan Vong War. Jacen, his older brother, was greatly affected by Anakin's passing, and it was one of the things that ultimately caused Jacen to turn to the Dark Side.

Fighting Style: Known for his special Force skills, like the capacity to travel through force fields, Anakin Solo had a mechanical bent.
