New Star Wars High Republic Lightsaber Colors, Meanings, and Review

The High Republic era occurred over 200 years before the events of the original trilogy and about 800 years after the collapse of the Old Galactic Republic. The Jedi Order was at its height during the Golden Age of High Republic lightsabers.

The new book series "Star Wars: The High Republic" revealed the mysteries and tales of that period, which we had only heard about before. Aside from storytelling, the book exposed us to the High Republic's magnificent Jedi and their distinctive lightsabers.

The Stallion Gios Lightsaber

At a young age, he studied the Jedi ways and became a Jedi Padawan of Master Rana Kant. During his service, he was both the Jedi Master and a Jedi Knight.

Orla Jareni's Hinged double-bladed Lightsaber

Orla Jareni was a High Republic Jedi Knight. After serving in the Jedi Order, she identified as a Way-seeker. A Way-seeker is a person who maintains his independence from the rules and code of the Jedi Order. He takes his approach. These Jedi could be familiar to you as the Grey Jedis from the films.

Orla Jareni wielded one of the unique lightsabers of the Old Republic and the High Republic. Although her lightsaber type differed from that of Ahsoka Tano, she used a white blade, similar to that of Ahsoka.

The switch lightsaber, also known as the hinged double-bladed lightsaber, was the weapon used by Orla Jareni. Orla Jareni could fold the hilt of her double-bladed lightsaber with this kind of Old Republic lightsaber. Thanks to this feature, she could employ both lightsaber blades in parallel. As you know, during the Clone Wars, Pong Krell, a Jedi Master, carried a comparable Switch lightsaber.

Ty Yorrick Claw Lightsaber 

In her early years, Ty Yorrick, a female Force-User, did not serve with the Jedi Order of the High Republic. According to the novel, she had an unidentified but perhaps sinister past. She joined the Jedi Order and started working with Jedi Master Stallion Gios.

Ty Yorrick brandished a sophisticated lightsaber with a lovely pattern. She carried a lightsaber hilt that was exclusive to the High Republic. The large claws on the hilt of her lightsaber were located directly above the emitter. Additionally, her lightsaber's uncommon purple hue enhanced its alluring appearance.

After turning it on, it appeared as though the large claws were clinging to the fiery purple lightsaber. Both the New and Old Republic lightsabers lack a lightsaber like this one.

Darth Krall Lightsaber

During the High Republic era, there was a male Sith Lord named Darth Krall. He was one of the twenty Jedi Masters who were "lost." Throughout history, these Jedi masters have abandoned the Jedi Order's tenets and resorted to the Dark Side of the Force.

In the 2019 book Dooku: The Jedi Lost, Darth Krall made an appearance. He brandished a red lightsaber with a single blade and a cylindrical handle. Of all the high Republic lightsaber hilts, it was an average one, yet even in the new Republic, the hilt's golden hue and slanted emitter are pretty uncommon. After his passing, Darth Krall's lightsaber was kept in the Jedi temple's Dark Relics vaults.
